How to Reach

Location: Baratang Island lies roughly 100 km north of Port Blair.

Access: The journey includes a scenic road trip through the Jarawa Reserve Forest, a creek crossing by ferry, and a short boat ride through mangrove-covered canals.

From the boat landing, a 1.5 km walk through a tropical forest trail leads to the caves.

⚠️ Visitors are advised to follow rules strictly, especially while traveling through tribal reserve areas.


Tips for Visitors

Wear comfortable walking shoes, as the trek includes uneven ground.

Carry water and a flashlight (although guides usually provide lights).

Permits and guided tours are necessary and can be arranged from Port Blair or through local tour operators.

Photography is allowed, but flash may be restricted inside the caves.
